4Fast, slim and powerfull.
By Ricardo A. Perez Ch
Im an architect and I use to buy dells mobile workstation as the precision 4400 for my job, but I was tired to travel with this heavy machine , then Ivy Bridge came and with it , came the new z series with all the power that I need but half the sise and weight , thanks Sony, my only consern is the keyboard, is not as confortable as the one on dells mobile workstation, but it maybe as something relative with the sise and the thickness of the device , I read somewhere that is not a good deal to buy the DVD+graphics accesori now becouse they dont upgrade it get , I will wait to buy it till they came with the upgrade on the graphics. This is a very responsive machine, and as the option to upgrade to windows 8 for only $15,it will be great if sony do it with a touch panel ..... (Im dreaming I know , but why not.)

1Horrible design
By Eric O.
I'm not going to go way out on this, as there is too much to list. The basic issues that I felt made this a terrible purchase are as follows:The display is not IPS, and from ANY angle the colors shift dramatically to Red. Absolute horrible display for a 2000 dollar laptop. The Carbon-fiber lid sounds like a great idea, but the amount of flex in the lid concerns me deeply of breaking the lcd enclosed inside it.The keyboard layout is spaced horribly, and they stroke and tactile response are ever so lacking. I replaced this purchase with the only other FULL HD option which is the ASUS ZenBook, and with the same form-factor, the keyboard is almost like a normal desktop. My point being, the layout could be much better and the keystroke could be much improved. The power of the device is very good, and the battery capacity and charge-longevity are exactly as stated in the specs. If the above changes were made, ASUS would have competition in the Full HD display Ultrabook lineup, but until then, this offering from Sony is a definite NO.
