This is the second Qosmio I've owned and the 5th Toshiba laptop I've purchased in my lifetime. Although I like Toshibas, I was not completely satisfied with my Qosmio X505-Q8100X 18.4" laptop. It felt cheap and hollow, was underpowered for the price and time I purchased it, and was just a little too large. That said, this new one is fantastic. The chiclet keyboard with backlight is fantastic, the dual 500GB 7200rpm HDDs are great, the screen (while not 1080p) has nice color and is the perfect size for my needs, and the i7 w/ GTX670M play all the games I own at very high to max settings without fail. The speakers are decent for a laptop and they don't seem to cause the case to resonate like on my old Qosmio (this annoyed me greatly about the old one).While you could build a desktop with higher performance for the $1300 pricetag, I don't have the space and need the portability right now, so this was the perfect solution for me and I couldn't be happier with this purchase.Pros:-Sleek design-Backlit fullsized chiclet keyboard-2 fast 500GB HDDs-Powerful CPU and GPU plays all the current games-Decent built-in speakersCons:-The fan vents on the right side onto my mouse. Makes my fingers a little hot.-The USB port placement on the right side is a little inconvenient but not awful.Final verdict:-Great combination of portable and powerful.

Received my laptop last night.Good:-Build quality is nice-comes with only one, ONE icon on the desktop, just the recycle bin. AWESOME!-Speakers are the best I have heard on a laptop.-Fan noise is pleasant.-Seems to runs really cool, even under stress.-USB plugs are VERY soild. I know sometimes with laptops you are plugging in something and they flex back and forth, Not so here...-Screen res is good. People complain about it not being 1920 X 1080, but have you ever used a laptop at that RES? It sucks, everything is so small that you end up blowing up all the icons and text and you loose the benefit of that extra resolution...Bad:Weird 3 prong power plug.Power block is HUGE. I have owned an 17inch laptop before and this is twice the size...Battery life is non-existent. on full power your getting like 1 hour...I would make the purchase again. I think the price is really good for what you are getting.Only thing I wish is that it came with a 256 solid state hard drive and a 500gb for the second drive...

So i got this laptop about a week ago, and so far, I am really pleased on how this beauty looks and runs. As for games, it runs it pretty smoothly, the only games that i have tried so far on this laptop is Batman Arkham Asylum, League of Legends and Star Craft. As for movies, it runs them great too! The speakers on this thing is really nice, i have never heard such good speakers on a laptop before.The only downside to this laptop is that the charger is a brick! Also, some parts of the keyboard is kinda flimsy where on desktop keyboards are solid. Also, the laptop only lasts for 2.1hrs, and even if all you do is just browse, you'll probably meet to the maximum of 4.7 hrs. I also wished this laptop came in full HD 720p or 1080p. But other than that, this laptop is worth your money's worth.
